Welcome to The Work Bench

What is happening at the bench

Current Projects:

          Rusted Guns

A Client dropped off 3 rusted guns that had been in a flodded

basement and are in very bad condition. Client said I could have

guns  if I wanted to spend the time working on them.

#1 Ruger Blackhawk – appears to be a 30 cal long barrel.

It is rusted so badly that most identifying marks are gone

          and is totally stuck.

#2 38 cal handgun of unknown origin – also very rusted and stuck.

#3 22 cal Stainless Auto – not as bad as the others but stuck.

I have them soaking in the parts cleaner for now – will remove and

boil in Oxalic acid next week. After that I will assess what is

          salvageable.

          Browning 9mm firing problems

Client gun that seems to misfeed and/or jam. This is usually a

simple fix on this type gun – at first glance it does not appear to

          have any other issues .
